As we age our body begins to change. Sometimes the changes are good but sometimes the changes in our body can set back our workout plan and do more harm than you could imagine. In general exercising and working out is always a good idea to help keep your body in shape. However there are several exercises that can do more harm than good once your reach the age of 40. If you have recently hit that milestone we’ve put together a list of 10 of exercises that you should absolutely avoid incorporating in your workout plan.
1. Chronic cardio
If you ask most people they will tell you that cardio is essential for any exercise plan. Don’t get us wrong. Incorporating some form of cardio is important but doing too much isn’t good for you at all. In fact if you do too much cardio you can overtax your body which will actually increase the level of the stress hormone known as cortisol. This can lead to increased belly fat and increase the speed in which you age.
