2. Standing toe touch
We decided to begin with the standing toe touch because it is pretty obvious to see why this one can do more damage than good. As you enter middle age the joint that is between your lower back and hip starts to get weaker. Stretching is an important part of your exercise plan but the standing toe touch puts so much unnecessary stress on your lower back that you will most certainly end up with a lower back injury that ranges from minor to much more serious. The position you are in during the standing toe touch can also lead to neck problems and increased blood pressure.
